Using Cloud-In-Hand® Mobile Grid for Job Time Tracking and Reports on iOS

This document outlines how Cloud-In-Hand® Mobile Grid is used for tracking employees' work time, and providing detailed reports.
This page requires the user to have a Cloud-In-Hand.com account with the correct privileges.

In this example we paired an iPad with an idChamp RS2 RFID reader.

Account Setup

The first step in job time tracking in Mobile Grid is to sign up for an account at Cloud-In-Hand.com.
Contact Serialio to purchase a Cloud-In-Hand.com subscription and to set up the correct profiles for your account.

Create employee records by clicking the 'employees' tab, and 'Add employee'.
Employee records ask for Employer and Employee information, Certifications and Work History.
The required info is the Company Name, Company Contact Person info, Immediate Supervisor name, Employee name, ID Card #, and Date of Hire.

Note: Employee records and required info are customizable.

After all employees have been added, the 'employess' tab should appear similar to the below image.

Tracking employees' work time

On the iOS device, open the Grid-In-Hand™ Mobile Grid app.
Click here to download Mobile Grid.
Tap Settings > Application Settings, and enter in the login information for the Cloud-In-Hand.com account recently made.

Return to the Mobile Grid home screen.
Tap Settings > MGAP Manager > Download (lower right corner).
Tap Construction Site Time-Tracking > Download (upper right corner).
Tap on 'Construction Site Time-Tracking' again > Assign to Scan Event > Mobile Grid (upper left corner).

Note: The assigned Action Profile is the one with the barcode to the left of it.

Now ensure the idChamp RS2 RFID reader is connected.

Track employees' work time by having him/her scan the NFC/RFID tags associated with him/her at the beginning and end of his/her shift.
As each employee scans their associated tag, Mobile Grid uploads the information to the Cloud-In-Hand account setup on the iOS device.

Generate reports

On a browser, login to the Cloud-In-Hand.com account used for time tracking.
Click the 'time tracking reports' tab.
Note: Report Types are customizable.

Hours

This report is specific to RPP (Residents Preference Program).
It generates

  1. Total number of hours on site all employees for a date or range of dates
  2. Total number of hours on site RPP only for a date or range of dates
  3. % daily RPP workforce

Workers added

This report is specific to RPP.
It generates

  1. List all employees on site for a date or range of dates
  2. Total sum of all employees on site
  3. List all RPP employees on site for a date or range of dates
  4. Total sum of RPP employees on site

Firms

This report is specific to SBE (Small Business Enterprises).
It generates

  1. Total number of firms on site for a date or range of dates
  2. Total number of SBE firms on site for a date or range of dates
  3. % SBE firms on site for that date or range of dates
